I like a good novella, but I don’t think I have read enough to pick my top 10 favourite ones, so instead, I’m going with some of the great short stories I’ve read in the past few year. Though I have to admit it was difficult to choose only 10.

An overall very good collection of fairy tale, with each author adding his or her own unique twist to some well-known and some not very known tales. Read on for a more detailed review of each story.

This anthology is all about creatures. The stories were all chosen by Neil Gaiman and we get stories from a variety of different authors from different times. The stories range from creepy to funny to thoughtful.
